Golf Tips -
From the Rough -
Under the current weather conditions, you’ve hit a really good shot. But it’s managed to roll into the rough. The lie doesn’t look to bad, but how can I be sure. On this hole, I normally make birdie, however the this tee shot has left me in a challenging position. Today, I’ll settle for par and RUN to the next. hole.
How do I keep my early round momentum going ? I want to keep the round going and stay i nthe game. So how is this shot different than the one I just played on the previous hole ?
Try These Tips
- Asses the rough - is it into you? forward? or maybe a little clumpy ?
- Club selection - do you need to take a more lofted club, to advance the ball ?
- Ball position - place the ball a little further back in the stance
- Body weight - depending on the lie and distance, adjust weight accordingly
- Club grip - remember not to grip the club to tightly - but enough to keep the clubface straight at impact
- Practice swing - always take a few practice swings in similar conditions before playing the shot
